Obituary of Elizabeth (Missig) Wurm - Daily News, Fremont, Ohio, 17 Dec 1924, page 1
"ILL THREE WEEKS DEATH RESULTED - Mrs. Elizabeth Wurm Died at Her Home on Union Place Early Wednesday.

Mrs. Elizabeth Wurm, 67, wife of Philip Wurm, formerly of Sandusky, died at her home, 627 Union Place early Wednesday morning following an illness of three weeks.

Mrs. Wurm was born in Sandusky, July 24, 1857, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Missig, pioneer residents of that city.  She was educated in Sandusky schools and 50 years ago was married to Philip Wurm, also a resident of Sandusky.  The couple made their home in that city until six years ago when they moved to West State street here, later moving to the Union Place address.  She was a prominent member of St. Ann's church and was a regular attendant at services until her illness.  She has a host of friends in Fremont and Sandusky who mourn her death.  She was also a member of St. Ann's Parent-Teacher association.

Mrs. Wurm is survived by her husband and six children, three daughters, Mrs. Herman Ranker, Fremont; Mrs. E.A. Dehnhard, Elyria and Miss Tess Wurnelle, Toledo; three sons, John Wurm, Findlay; Carl Wurm, Columbus, and Arnold Wurm, Chicago.  She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Teresa Cook, Minneapolis, and 12 grandchildren.  Two grandchildren, Reynold and Harold Wurnelle, her wards, lived with her and were as near to her as her own children.  Arrangements for the funeral services had not been completed Wednesday but services will probably be held from St. Ann's church here and interment will take place in the Missig family plot in Sandusky.  Mrs. Dehnhard, a daughter living in Elyria, was called to Fremont more than three weeks ago when her mother first became ill.  Mrs. J.P. McAvoy, mother of Reynold and Harold Wurnelle, visited with her children and Mrs. Wurm Thanksgiving day."
