Rose (Hahn) Swick

Rose Myrtle Hahn, daughter of Henry and Mary (Wurm) Hahn, was born 22 August 1873 in Erie County, Ohio and died 18 Sept 1960 at Tiffin, Ohio.  She married David Jacob Swick 18 Dec 1888 in Seneca County, Ohio.  He was born 31 Dec 1866 to Giles and Christiane (Somers) Swick and died 7 June 1913.

"Services Wednesday for Mrs. Rose Swick - Republic Woman, 87, Died Here Sunday

Mrs. Rose M. Swick, 87, of Republic, died at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 1960, in Mercy hospital.  She had been a patient there since Sept. 3.

A native of Erie County, Mrs. Swick was born Aug. 22, 1873 to Henry and Mary (Wurm) Hahn.  She was married Dec. 18, 1888 to David Swick, and he died June 7, 1913.  Surviving are two daughters and a son, Mrs. Merle Williams, Granada Hills, Calif.; Mrs. Glenn Neifer and David J. of Republic and eight grandchildren.  A daughter, Mrs. Milton Reiff, a son Oliver and four brothers and four sisters are deceased.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Pancoast funeral home in Republic and will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel Bare.  Burial will be in the Clock cemetery near Cooper."

"David Swick's people have just buried their six-year old son, Oliver, and now their little daughter is seriously ill with the same disease."
