"NEW WASHINGTON - Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Bernard's Catholic Church at New Washington for Linus Urban Wurm, 69, who died at his residence on Bucyrus St. this morning at 12:15 a.m. of cancer. He had been in ill health for the past year and a half and critically ill for six weeks.
Born July 27, 1888 at St. Stephens, he was the son of Isidor and Celia Steinmetz Wurm and was married to Lillian Heydinger Feb. 18, 1914 in New Washington.
His wife survives along with three sons, Vincent and Urban of Tiffin and Eugene of Lorain; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Nevius of Tiffin, two brothers, Richard and Victor of Tiffin, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Niedermier of New Washington. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren.
He was a member of the St. Bernard's Church and Rev. Fr. Nicholas Traunero will officiate at the services with burial in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours are after 7 p.m. this evening in the Secor Funeral Home."
Linus Urban and Lillian Margaret (Heydinger) Wurm had five children:
1 - Vincent Peter Wurm (1914-1973)
2 - John Frederick Wurm was born 25 July 1917 and died 20 Dec 1944 in Luxembourg, Germany. He married Estelle Easley 3 Dec. 1943 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tyler, Texas. She was born about 1914 to William Walter and Matilda O. (Butler) Easley.
3 - Eugene Linus Wurm (living invidiual)
4 - Jeanette Cecilia Wurm (1923-1998)
5 - Urban Otto Wurm (1925-2002)
