John James & Rose Frances (Worm) Cronin

Rose Frances Worm, daughter of Thomas and Barbara (Miller) Worm, was born 12 Oct 1882 in Crawford County, Ohio and died in March 1949 in Mason County, Michigan.  She was baptised as Rose Magdalen Worm at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in New Washington, Ohio on 14 Oct 1884.  Rose married John James Cronin 7 July 1903 at Hannah, Michigan.  John was born 19 Dec 1876 at Detroit, Michigan to Cornelius and Mary (Carmondy) Cronin and died in 1959 in Mason County, Michigan.

"Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Frances Cronin, 66, of Ludington, a former resident of Hannah, who died at Paulina Stearns hospital following a two weeks' illness, were held there Tuesday morning at St. Simon's Church.  Mrs. Cronin was born Oct. 12, 1882 in Ohio, and came with her family to Hannah at the age of four years.  Her marriage to John Cronin took place in 1903, and the couple moved to Benton Harbor where they resided for three years before moving to Ludington.  Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. William Langdon of Huntington Woods, and Mrs. Raymond Helmar of Detroit; two sons, Edward of South Bend, Indiana and Lawrence of Hingham, Mass., six grandchildren, six brothers, and three sisters."

John James and Rose Frances (Worm) Cronin had four children.

1 - Agnes Cronin was born about 1905.  She married William Langdon.
2 - Lawrence J. Cronin was born 11 Sept 1906 and died 28 March 1978 at Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.  He married Jeanette - .
3 - Edward Joseph Cronin (1908-1980)
4 - Mary Elizabeth Cronin (1919-2005)
